Adoptable SCAA Dogs & Puppies
Health
SCAA foster puppies & dogs ready for adoption have:
Vaccines are started when fosters are healthy at either at 10 weeks old or 7-10 days from rescue with a next set 4-5 weeks later. Their rabies vaccination is not an official one. Spay / Neuter is generally done at around 6 - 7 months of age. For animals too young for surgery on adoption, SCAA offers half-price surgery costs at PAW for adopters. |
Training & Temperament
A foster dog's temperament and training varies based on their pre-rescue conditions (if known), condition on rescue, age, socialization, and time in foster care. All foster dogs are adoptable. Every foster dog has a well-suited home waiting, from kid-friendly to quiet. Foster parents work on toilet training, walking foster dogs on a leash (it's safe and the law), and socializing dog with new experiences with different people, pets, and situations. Foster dog adoptions may be finalized at the Shenpu Pet Hospital, where adopters take the first step in licensing their new dog. |
