Congratulations on considering adding a cat or dog companion to the family. Adoption is a rewarding experience - pets offer their owners loyal companionship and help children develop empathy & responsibility.

Pets are also a serious responsibility - we believe pet adoption is a commitment that lasts through life's major milestones; from getting married, and having a baby, to moving house, city, and country.

SCAA expects pets move together with their family, no matter if the move is to Beijing, Bangkok, Boston, Berlin or any other place in between! So prepare in advance, even if you don't plan to move.

Love animals but unsure about making this kind of commitment to a pet?
Ask SCAA about becoming a volunteer foster parent instead. Fostering is a rewarding responsibility, offering temporary companionship without permanent commitment. Read more about fostering HERE
