What is Adoption Day?

We currently hold Adoption Days twice each month, on Sundays at O’Malley’s Restaurant (42 Taojiang Road), 12-3pm (for specific dates/locations, please see our website events calendar). This is a chance for our project supported and fostered companion animals to be adopted. We also welcome the general public and families to play with the animals and learn more about SCAA. Our Adoption Days are joyous events, so do join us!

If you are a third party that has an animal you would like to adopt out, we can help you but if we do adopt out your animal at our Adoption Day, we require a minimum donation of RMB 200 (RMB 100 to become an official SCAA supporter and RMB 100 to put your animal at our Adoption Day). Whenever we are successful at adopting out your companion animal we require another minimum donation of RMB 500. The reason behind this is that if we adopt out YOUR animal, we adopt out one fewer of our own fostered animals. We are providing a very convenient service for third parties, but this lessens the success for our own foster parents who often give months of their energy, funding and love to heal an animal and provide a loving home until we successfully find a permanent home. All third party animals must be healthy and spayed/neutered (or RMB 500 provided for spay/neutering). Third party attendance at our Adoption Day must be approved in advance by founder. See Contact Us
